Epigenetic Mechanisms

I posted a similar image before but this image goes into more detail on the composition of the DNA molecule and on the nonhereditary influences that affect the DNA molecule resulting from our environments.

Some of the factors and processes that affect epigenetic mechanisms are aging, drugs/pharmaceuticals, diet, development during childhood, development while in the uterus and environmental chemicals.
