This image is what the Gartner Hype Cycle looks like today for emerging technologies.
Some of the emerging technologies at the peak of inflated expectations stage right now are: NFTs, Data Fabric, AI Augmented Software Engineering and Decentralized Identity.
What's interested is that Gartner publishes their hype cycle each year and many technologies that we are so used to using today have passed through this cycle from the first stage (technology trigger) to the last stage (plateau of productivity) that include Cloud Computing, 4G and Internet TV.
